Hmm…??

“They put his armor in the house of their gods and fastened his head in the house of Dagon.” (1 Chronicles 10:10, NASB95)“They put his weapons in the temple of Ashtaroth, and they fastened his body to the wall of Beth-shan.” (1 Samuel 31:10, NASB95)These two passages speak of the events following the death of King Saul on Mount Gilboa in Israel.  They say that his armor went to the Temple of Ashtaroth, his head to the Temple of Dagon, and his body to the wall of the city of Beth-shan.Biblical skeptics for years used this as “proof” that the Bible was inaccurate.  This is because Ashtaroth was a god of the Canaanites and Dagon a god of the Philistines.  There would not have been, they say, a temple to each god during the same time-period because these warring peoples would not have agreed to such a thing.Then, archaeologists discovered Beth-shan—the city where Saul’s body was hung.   After careful research they also discovered two temples.  You guessed it, one to Ashtaroth and one to Dagon.Be careful when the “experts” tell you the Bible is wrong.  Over and over again God’s Word has been proven accurate in science, history, anthropology, psychology, and more.  The Bible has more credible evidence of its truthfulness than any newspaper or book you read today.Question it?  No!  Trust it?  Yes!In His Grace,Dr. Randy White
