I am convinced that Jesus was born on or near December 25, and that the Magi arrived within days of His birth.I know I am in a growing minority that holds to this traditional church consensus. Many believers today have bought into the oft repeated line that informs us (without evidence) that the church adopted a pagan holiday as a day of merrymaking. This seems so far-fetched to me that I would need lots of evidence to accept such a preposterous claim. At the bottom of the claim is the marginalization of early believers, so set of having a party or so seeker-sensitive that they would give up basic convictions to meet these goals.
