Be Careful How You Vote!
“A divine decision is in the lips of the king; His mouth should not err in judgment.”(Proverbs 16:10, NASB95)One of our great American freedoms is found in the voting booth. We have what hasbeen a rare privilege through the ages; namely, the opportunity to have a government “bythe people, of the people, and for the people.”Though we do not, thankfully, have a King who proclaims edicts, nonetheless we do havea President who has tremendous influence on our lives, our freedoms, and our prosperity. We cannot take lightly the responsibility we have in electing the right President.Because the “lips of the King” speak what will become law and policy, we must elect onewho, as far as humanly possible, will not “err in judgment” in his decisions and words.Ideally, this would be one who is prayerful and searches the scriptures for wisdom beforemaking his decisions and pronouncements. In reality, we do not always have such anideal choice. The term “err,” relating to the judgments of the King, literally means “be unfaithful.”I pray for a President, Senators, Congressmen, and other elected leaders who would befaithful to the revelation of God in His Word.In His Grace,Dr. Randy WhiteFor today’s broadcast, click here.
