Façade
“Even in laughter a heart may be sad, and joy may end in grief.” (Proverbs 14:13, HCSB) Here in a society where personal happiness is often simply a show, a reminder that things are not always what they appear to be is in order!Today, and in coming days, as you meet friends, neighbors, and coworkers with a customary “how are you,” you will likely get a smile and a typical response, “I’m fine!” As you spend time with them, they may cut up, smile, even laugh. But what is really going on inside, behind the mask?I do not want to give the impression that everyone around you is hurting on the inside. There are some who are healthy inside and outside, physically and spiritually. These people are blessed and aware of their blessings. Many people, however, are able to have laughter on the outside, but inside the heart is sad. Perhaps it is a hidden burden or a long-held pain that causes them sadness. It could be that they have the things of the world but do not have the things of God. Or, perhaps they have the things of God and He has given them a deep burden over the things of the world. As you live this life filled with facades, be aware that things are not always what they seem. Take time to dig deeper to find the real condition of the lives around you.In His Grace,Dr. Randy WhiteGet our FREE DVD with 90 minutes of teaching on The Antichrist!
